És correcte, o no?

Als Estats Units, ara, els alumnes quan surten de la seva escola i van a altres instituts, els examens que van fent són les qualificacions dels professors que han tingut. Això ha tingut una gran polèmica entre professors i la gent normal, ja que si un alumne, li costa o no li ve de gust estudiar, el professor tindrà una mala qualificació. Com es quedaràn els pares d'uns nens que van a una escola privada i veuen que els professors de l'escola privada són "pitjors" que els de les públiques? Aquestes notes, quan el diari New York Times, ha acabat de revolucionar a la gent ja que aquestes qualificacions les veurà tothom. Al New york times, està aquesta noticia i comentaré algunes opinions de la gent que hi comenta.

Sarah Bento diu:
You're going to publish evaluations for all staff at NYT as well too, right? I demand to know if the news I'm getting is coming from effective or ineffective reporters.
Aquesta noia, diu que com que als professors els avaluaran i publicaran els resultats, diu que vol saber si els periodistes que fan públiques aquestes notes són bons o no, és a dir, evaluar-los a ells també.

David Bloomfield diu:
The only good thing about publication is to show a few of the terminal flaws of test-based evaluation. Sad that individual reputations will be damaged in proving testing zealots wrong.
El que es refereix aquest senyor és que nomes ha trobat  una cosa bona a tot això, i és que amb aqestes pubiacions es podrà saber que aquestes noves avaluacions, no són positives, ja que la reputació de cada professor es veurà perjudicada.

Ted Lewis diu:
The New York Times should be ashamed, and I am seriously considering terminating my subscription. Even as you concede the substantial and dramatic flaws in the data, you nonetheless release them. You have yet to explain what useful public service this will accomplish. Many dedicated teachers will feel shamed and demoralized. And perhaps many teachers will get a false sense of accomplishment who may not deserve it. Parents, who do not wade through your disclaimers, will gain a false sense of their childrens' teachers.   
Ted diu que aquest diari, hauria de sentir-se malament per publicar això. I que es planteja seguir seguint aquest diari o no. Opina que els pares poden rebre informacions no equivalents a la "puntuació" real de cada professor dels seus fills.

Sanda Wilde diu:
This publishing of ratings is likely to have two strong unintended consequences: discouraging both prospective and veteran teachers from a profession where they're treated so disrespectfully, and increasing the likelihood of teaching to the test and cheating. The latter will lead to these numbers' becoming even more inaccurate.
Aquesta noia opina que publicar això tindrà dos grans conseqüències: desanimar als nous professors i subestimar als més antics. Diu que els professors ara ja no ensenyaràn per gust o curiositats, simplement es limitaràn a ensenyar allò que després en  aquelles proves surtirà, per tal que egoístament, aquells resultants els beneficiin als professors.

Barbara Kane diu:

There are so many contributing factors that will nullify the validity of these reports, poverty,truancy,and behavioral issues to name a few. How can a teacher be held responsible for those students whose basic abilities are far below grade level and the administration cannot afford additional resource room support? I do not know of any teacher who does not work hard every day to bring every child to academic success- but sometimes the odds are stacked against them.
Aquesta noia pensa que hi ha molts nens que no tenen capacitat per arribar als coneixements bàsics, o nois que simplement no estudien i aquests, treuràn males notes. Els professors poden fer tot el possible, però si el nen no pot o no vol estudiar i suspèn, realment és just que es vegi perjudicada la valoració d'aquest professor o professora?
